Can I bring snacks or food in my carry-on?
Yes, solid food is generally allowed. Liquids and gels (like yogurt or sauces) must comply with the 100ml rule. Avoid bringing fresh fruits or meats to other countries due to customs restrictions.
Should I exchange currency before traveling?
It’s a good idea to carry some local currency, but avoid airport exchange kiosks. ATMs in your destination typically offer better exchange rates, though your bank may charge international fees.
Are credit cards widely accepted?
In most cities, yes, especially Visa and Mastercard. However, carry cash in rural areas or for small vendors, taxis, and tipping. Keep in mind that many international destinations do not accept American Express, so it’s best to have a backup card and some local currency on hand.
